Just watched first episode of Young Justice Invasion and who else wants to cringe every fucking time Jaime (Blue Beetle III) says “ese” or “jefe” or whatever?
Like, I’m not too familiar with the character but yes Young Justice writers, he’s Hispanic. We know. You could have just had him, oh I don’t know, say a few phrases in Spanish from time to time instead of throwing a few “ese’s” in there and calling it a night. On top of that he’s from El Paso, Texas — I live in Texas and my family used to live in Brownsville which is right on the border between the United States and Mexico and I have not heard or known a single Hispanic person say “ese” my entire life while I was there. What the actual fuck??!!
